We recently went to NY for a short get-away extended weekend. It was Rian's first time there and I think he really enjoyed it. We went a show every night and ate as much of the legendary NY food variety as we could (though, truth be told I think there is overall, better food in Sonoma county). We walked the length and breadth of the city and loved every minute of it. Thanks to Margot Parker for the amazing apartment to stay in. The newest addition to our extended family is a happy, healthy baby Jacobs!

a sad goodbye

Our first pet, Mila's sunshine napping buddy is no more. We are very sad to lose this cat who wormed his way into our hearts with his big paws, eyes and pink nose. Nobody tells you that these little creatures who live in our homes will mean so much to us in the end.

Today we say our very sad goodbye to Mookie.

making easter baskets

In a continued family tradition, Dad made us all Easter baskets this year. I was there to practice my own basket weaving skills though Dad is clearly the master.
