sanderson family adventure

The Sanderson Family Adventure this summer took us to Costa Rica. We went with Rian's dad, Marisa and Zack. We stayed at the beautiful Los Suenos Resort near Jaco. We did a lot of pool hopping, reading and lazing in the sun but, we went hiking in national parks (Carara and Manuel Antonio) and we even did the canopy zip-line tour (Turu Ba Ri private park). It was a relaxing and peaceful week.

If you're ever looking for a resort experience Los Suenos doesn't disappoint.

By the way... if we' forgot to mention it, Rian GRADUATED!

Rian just finished his degree in Software Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University. After 3 hard years of work (2 at Carnegie Mellon and 1 at Stanford) I'm so thrilled that he's finally finished. It is will be fantastic to have time together again to cook dinner, watch movies, read books and just plain play.

Rian & I recently visited the San Francisco Zoo to practice taking pictures of animals. Admittedly, the captive animals are much easier to photograph than their wild counterparts but it's fun to practice! If you haven't been to the zoo in a while, it's worth checking out... the exhibits are much more animal friendly and it's a fantastic place to people watch.
